W: Which features should we be looking for that will give us more room?
DF: Elastic panelling is your best friend if you find it hard to find a great fitting pair of boots. Also, look for buckles and zips that will allow you to customise the boot to fit your leg shape.
W: Which features should we be avoiding?
DF: Avoid synthetic leather boots. Good quality leather has a natural stretch that will help your boots mould to your leg shape over time. Lots of boots feature design buckles, so make sure you can adjust these to fit your shape.
W: Tell us a bit about your boot leg fit scale and how this helps us to find the right boot.
DF: Our Supersoft by Diana Ferrari brand ranges wider C fitting shoes, and more generous fitting boots, while our Diana Ferrari brand offers a slimmer, more standard fit. We developed the boot fit guide to grade all our knee high boots on a 1-7 scale from narrow to generous, across both brands.
With everything we've learnt, we went shopping to find a bunch of tall boots that are perfect for wider calves, thanks to generous widths, elastic panelling, buckles, laces and a few clever brands that offer multi-fit boots that cater for everyone!
