IF THE SHOE FITS
Race day is the only time I’d encourage starting with your shoes first; then pick an outfit to match to footwear. Shoes will make or break your race day. Ladies, if you opt to wear uncomfortable stilettos, you will probably end up sitting down and complaining about your painful feet. Worse – you might take your shoes off and walk around bare foot (yes, I said worse – it’s not a good look.)
For longevity, think a mid-height or thick-heeled shoe. A wedged heel is even better as you are mostly walking around on grass. If you have a thin heel, they will sink into the grass and be ruined. Beige is your fall back colour if you can’t match your shoes to your outfit and this nude tone also helps make your legs look endlessly fabulous!
