Emma Balfour is on the Front Line of creating a more sustainable world.
The striking, free-spirited beauty used to feel at home hanging out in London with pal Kate Moss during her long stint as a sought-after model during the 1990s. However these days she embraces an existence far closer to Mother Nature, enjoying time with family and friends at her idyllic, environmentally sustainable Bondi dwelling.
"We have a rainwater tank, we compost everything. It's been really fantastic for the kids," the mother-of-two says.
"They've just become aware of all the systems that we have in place to produce what everyone takes for granted."
“For me, being on the Front Line means using fashion as a platform to speak about my passion – living sustainable lives now so our children will have a better future,” Emma says.
As an Australian fashion icon, Emma has tried and tested more looks than she can count. "There was a point before I got really popular where I just looked like me," she muses. "I think I even had a fringe and I looked like a scrawny little tomboy, and that sums me up best."
