Christian "Prince" Wilkins, son of Channel Nine TV presenter Richard Wilkins, joins Westfield's family Autumn/Winter 2017 campaign in a different role, acting as Dame Edna's youngest son Kenny.
The 21-year-old social media sensation, model and aspiring actor has a bold sense of personal style, a trait he shares with his risk-taking character mum Dame Edna. We sat down to chat family and fashion with this upcoming style setter and find out who he's looking to this season for fashion inspiration.
Westfield: What was is like growing up with a famous Australian in the family?
Christian Wilkins: Truthfully, it wasn't something I was really aware of until i got older. It was simply my dad's job. Occasionally, he would drag me along to events but this was mainly if he couldn't get a sitter. He's been working in TV now for 30 years, which is longer than my whole life, so him interviewing celebrities and going to events has always been the norm.
W: What does family mean to you these days?
CW: Family is everything to me; they're the people I turn to for advice, friendship, everything. I'm extremely close to both my parents and all my siblings. We all really respect each other and therefore work together really harmoniously.
W: Describe your style. What do you consider classic Wilkins?
CW: I describe my style as '70s Cowboy meets '90s rock star. Lots of denim, leather, fringe and bandanas, and I can never say no to something that sparkles.
W: What do you think is good advice for anyone reinventing their style this season?
CW: I think the best advice is to just go for it! There are so many awesome trends that are emerging, that work for everyone, regardless of age, size or gender. If you love something and it makes you feel confident, get it.
