Who doesn't love a bit of colour? If you're a fan of global colour forecasting authority Pantone, then you probably anticipate the annual Pantone Colour of the Year announcement. For the first time ever, 2016 has seen the introduction of two shades – Rose Quartz and Serenity.
This year, we see a softer take on colour, symbolic of the gentleness, compassion and sense of calm that we all need after a year of turbulent world events. The dusky baby pink and dreamy baby blue shades were also chosen in recognition of the gender blur we have been experiencing in the fashion world, which is in turn affecting color trends throughout all other areas of design.
