We're lucky in Australia to have relatively mild winters, but there is still nothing better than knowing that warmer temperatures and brighter days are just around the corner. Spring is perhaps my favourite season, and it lends itself so well to trans-seasonal dressing – perfect for those of us who love layering, but still enjoy throwing on a beautiful, billowy dress and calling it a day.

One trend that has particularly grabbed my attention is folk-inspired dressing. Think intricate embroidery, tassels, beautifully rich ochres and burgundy, and delicate jewellery adorned with beading and charms. It’s an easy way to give your wardrobe an effortless, bohemian update that’s both chic and laidback. The beautiful, lightweight linens and cottons are also a perfect transition into the warmer months to come, and sure to become wardrobe favourites. Below are a few of my tips for embracing the look.
