As boring as it is, we all have to wash our makeup brushes. Just as we cleanse and moisturise our skin, it’s important to keep our makeup brushes clean and bacteria-free to ensure they last longer and to keep our complexion from breaking out. Our brushes gather facial oil, foundation residue and dust, among other things, so add washing them brushes to your weekly to-do list!
Brush cleansers are available from all of our favourite makeup stores, but they are quite costly and tend to come in small bottles. No one wants to spend money on brush cleaners, especially if there are substitute products that will clean your brushes in exactly the same way without the cost.
