THE STYLIST DIARIES | Get moving in style with Lucy and Lululemon

What better way to motivate you into kicking your fitness goals thAn new active wear that will leave you feeling fresh and ready to go. To ensure you look on point while in your stretchy gear, take note of the following trends when selecting your newest purchases.

Tye dye or ombre is back with absolute force this summer – less boho vibes and more muted tones with fresh colour palettes. This look is fresh off the runway and straight into the yoga studio.

(Above: Align's are your best friend when it comes to your Yoga or Pilates Practice. The material is soft and buttery and leaves you feeling like you aren't wearing anything during your practice. With no pockets there are the best solve for a distraction free yoga practice. )

Speaking of colour palettes, pastels are a trend worth hunting down as well. Think head to toe lilac, baby blue and soft green or mix up your sets by rocking an array of soft colours that are complimentary to each other and your colouring.

(Above: Wunder Under's are made with both a high and low sweat intention and are your perfect pair of tights for Hot Yoga. With no seams or pockets on the outside of the tights they create a no distraction feel for you workout. They come in three lengths, 21", 25" and 28" but can be hemmed in store free of charge.)

If pastels and patterns don’t appeal to you, a fail safe classic is black and white monochrome. You can build yourself a workout wardrobe knowing that your different pieces will all look like a set no matter which ‘odd one out’ piece is still in the bottom of the draw come washing day.

(Above: Fast and Free 25" and Final Lap Crop 23" are both made of a material called Nulux. This material is 4 way stretch to avoid going see through, sweat wicking to keep you dry in the sweatiest of workout and a naked sensation that leaves you feeling like you are wearing anything. A hugged feeling compression leaves you ready to take on any high sweat activity in these tights. )
