A love letter to the Northside's best Asian food

For lovers of sushi, dumplings, rice paper rolls, katsu curry and satay – your hearts are about to get a lot bigger.

With the opening of Westfield Chermside’s new dining precinct comes the long-awaited arrival of some Brisbane favourites in Asian cuisine. Northsiders, you have a lengthy food journey ahead of you. Here are some of our favourites to tick off first.

Kamikaze Teppanyaki

With a contemporary, funky atmosphere, this Japanese restaurant is making teppanyaki even more fun than it was before. Already an icon at Westfield Garden City, Kamikaze serves up a rigorous selection of the finest meats and freshest seafood on offer in Brisbane. Bring along some friends this weekend and see what all the fuss is about.

Motto Motto

Motto Motto, which fittingly means ‘more, more’ in Japanese, serves up authentic Japanese food for incredible value. They take fresh, local ingredients and turn them into traditional Japanese dishes in a way that suits you. Pick a rice bowl, ramen, curry or roll and customise it with whatever flavours and combos you like.

Kinn + Derm

The Kinn Group, who have built local Thai favourites in North Lakes and Garden City, are bringing their expertise in Thai cuisine to Chermside. Kinn + Derm presents a brand new way to experience ancient Thai cuisine, in a colourful and lively environment. This one will hike its way up your list of go-to Thai restaurants in no time.

Landmark Yum Cha

Having made a name for itself in Sunnybank, Landmark is now bringing its authentic Yum Cha to the Northside. Chefs from Hong Kong and Guangzhou will be bringing us popular Chinese dishes like Peking duck and Szechuan-style mud crab. We can’t wait to have this Yum Cha institution closer to home.

PHO Vietnamese

With a host of adoring customers who couldn’t have nicer things to say about PHO Vietnamese, this is an eatery that won’t disappoint. Their menu is packed with Vietnamese delicacies like beef pho, rice paper rolls and wanton. You really can’t go wrong with any of them!
