Year of the Pig: what does your Chinese zodiac say about you?

Welcome to the Year of the Pig

Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year, is on 5 Febuary 2019 and is celebrated in many different ways around the world. The Chinese Zodiac, known as Sheng Xiao, is based on a 12-year cycle, with each year in the cycle relating to an animal sign.

The pig is the twelfth zodiac animal and is this year's sign. Pigs have a beautiful personality and are blessed with good fortune in life. They are happy, easygoing, honest, trusting, educated, sincere and brave.

Pigs might not stand out in a crowd. But they are very realistic. Others may be all talk and no action but pigs are the opposite.

They are not wasteful spenders, however let themselves enjoy life. They love entertainment and will occasionally treat themselves. A bit materialistic, but this is motivation for them to work hard.

Pigs are energetic and enthusiastic. If given the chance, they will take positions of power and status. They believe that only those people have the right to speak, and that’s what they want.

Compatability:

  • Most compatible: Tiger, Rabbit, Goat
  • Least compatible: Snake, Monkey

Lucky for Pigs:

  • Numbers: 2, 5, 8
