Productive tips for working at home

With many of us working from home now, you may be finding it hard to stay focused and productive during this time.

To help you out, we’ve put together a guide to staying on track!

Find your own space

Finding your own space to work is important when trying to keep focused. It helps separate your home life from your work life and makes getting lost in your latest Netflix binge a little less easy. If you don’t have a work desk, but don’t want to break the bank buying one, head to Kmart to find work desks for as a low as $30.00.

We recommend trying to make your space feel a little more like work.
Head to Red Dot or David Jones to pick up any stationary requirements you may have.

Grab a pair of headphones

Depending on your work, you may be required to dial in on conference calls with your wider team. Head to JB Hi Fi to find a pair of headphones. Headphones will help reduce unwanted background noises and interference with your phone calls. Be sure to find a pair with a microphone.

Find comfy clothes

While we all know it's tempting to spend the day in your favourite pair of pyjamas, this isn’t the best look when skyping your team and isn’t going to do wonders for setting you up for a productive day. We recommend treating each day as if you’re going to work.

Now we’re not saying to get into your best suit or your team uniform, but jumping out of bed, having a shower and changing your clothes will help put your mind in the zone for a work day.

We recommend finding comfortable activewear that will not only add as an extra perk to working from home, but it also won’t go to waste when you head back to the office.

Healthy snacking

With the fridge a little too conveniently close, we recommend stocking up on healthy snacks that will get you through the day.

Head to Supplement Mart for snack bars and protein balls or to Natures Farm for a wide range guilt-free treats.

Stock up on coffee

If you’re like us and you need to start your day with a coffee, we recommend stocking up on your favourite coffee pods or beans to make sure you start the day right.

If you're wanting to invest in a coffee machine, head to David Jones for plenty of options!

Or if you are on the look out for a new grind, Caffine Trader are selling the beans that they use in house. Barista quality coffee made easy!

Make the most of it

Since you're working from home, why not try to make the most of it! If you normally wear make up to work, enjoy going make up free. Indulge a little further by heading to Priceline to grab a face mask or two. Pop them on while you work, and you'll be enjoying the benefits in no time!

With the gyms closed grab some exercise equipment from rebel to keep active.

If you normally don't have much time in the kitchen, why not enjoy the extra hours you do have to create beautiful home-cooked meals.
