What’s on this Lunar New Year at Westfield Carousel

Celebrated globally in countries including China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, Mauritius and the Philippines, Lunar New Year is easily one of the biggest festivals in the world. This year, Lunar New Year falls on 1st February and lasts for 15 days. Light Up Your Virtual Zodiac Lantern from 1st - 15th Feb
Inspired by the Lantern Festival which marks the final day of Lunar New Year, light and release a virtual lantern to carry wishes and good fortune for the year ahead.

To light your virtual lantern, scan the QR code at the activation zones located at the ELP stage area and out the front od David Jones. In return, receive a 2022 horoscope based on your Chinese zodiac and watch your lantern take off.

Wishing Tree from the 1st - 15th Feb
A cornerstone of any Lunar New Year celebration, the wishing tree is synonymous with luck and good fortune. Visit during Lunar New Year to write your wishes down and hang them on the tree, ready for the year ahead.

Join us in welcoming the Year of the Tiger with a traditional lion dance throughout Westfield Carousel by the renowned Yaolin Kung Fu Association.
