BAZAAR in Bloom: Raising money for The Royal Hospital for Women
BAZAAR in Bloom 2018 was a remarkable success thanks to the incredible generosity of many guests, event sponsors and partners. With much help the event raised more than $600,000 to help women at The Royal Hospital for Women with perinatal mental health issues. A wonderul result!
One in ten pregnant women and new mothers will suffer from clinical anxiety or depression and last night we were all captivated by Gloria's personal journey through postnatal depression after the birth of both of her children, Jack and Kale.
As a direct result of BAZAAR in Bloom, the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation will now be able to provide for the Hospital a full time psychologist to support and enhance existing psychiatry services. The combination will enable positive outcomes for women recovering from depression or anxiety – supporting attachment and bonding with their baby and family. One of the many highlights was the unforgettable fashion show, showcasing some of Australia's most talented designers.
