Boot-spiration: AW trends and boots for wider calves
Be honest: even though the warm weather is coming to an end, are you a little bit excited to get back into your boots? Us too! (Not to mention, our jeans, coats, leather and scarves...) Boots have an ability to make every outfit they touch just that little bit cooler, and in some cases, they can be the outfit (thigh high red stiletto boots, we're looking at you.)
If you've been shopping lately, you'll notice boots are starting to make their way into store, and there is SO much more to play with than your trusty black ankle boot. This season, it's all about making a statement - and therefore, taking a risk.
To get you prepared, we've done the ground work and found the three most popular boot trends and our favourite styles for each (and of course, what we'd wear with them). Boots for wider calves
Wider calves, rejoice! This season, there are loads of knee high and thigh-high boots that will actually fit. If you like them skin-tight, look for boots with an elasticated back or sock texture. If not, there's a move towards boots with much more space around the calf and thigh that will be perfect for you too.
