Cerebral Palsy Alliance Give Ability Day

Give Ability Day - Saturday 3 December

Get behind your local community on Saturday December 3 for Give Ability Day at Westfield Woden and support children with disabilities and their families!

Westfield
Woden is proud to partner with Cerebral Palsy Alilance ACT for the upcoming Give Ability Day. It will be a special recreation and respite day for children with disabilities and their families from Cerebral Palsy Alilance ACT and they would greatly appreciate support from the local community.

We all have ‘give ability' - the ability to donate what we can, no matter how big or small, to help make a difference. So please visit Westfield Woden and make a donation at Concierge on Level 2 to help give the ability for kids to take part in fun activities, for respite care so parents and carers can take a break too, or for new programs and facilities to be set up and implemented in your local community.

On the day we will have entertainment including:
Face Painting at the Kids Pirate Ship
Balloon Bender outside of BIG W
Christmas Carol Musicians
Volunteers collecting much need funds at entry doors
Give Ability Day Balloons for gold coin donation at Fresh Food Market

Help support Cerebral Palsy Alliance ACT by donating to this worthy cause, thank you.

Local Community

Caring for a child can be tough and very challenging. While every child is a joy to their parents, families of children with a disability find simple everyday living more difficult. Financial assistance, respite care - time out and community support can make a world of difference.

The Westfield Community Program was launched in early 2008 to address these needs in our local communities. Each Westfield Centre across Australia partners with a local disability service provider to help improve the quality of life for children with disabilities their families.

Westfield Woden encourages you to support its local community partner the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Cerebral Palsy Alliance

Get Inspired

The Cerebral Palsy Alliance has been building futures for adults and children with cerebral palsy for over 64 years, and has grown to become one of the largest providers of services, information and support for people with cerebral palsy in NSW and the ACT.

Cerebral Palsy is a permanent physical condition that affects movement, and in Australia it is estimated that one child in every 400 is born with cerebral palsy. There is no pre-birth test, and no known cure, and for most, the cause of CP is unknown.

The Cerebral Palsy Alliance therapy team in the Spence, ACT is made up of a range of experienced professionals (physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, youth worker) offering innovative approaches to support children, families and the local community . Services include mobility options, communication, mealtime management, technology for leisure and learning, recreation programs as well as a CP Helpline.
