Local Community Partnership
Caring for a child can be tough and very challenging. While every child is a joy to their parents, families of children with a disability find simple everyday living more difficult. Financial assistance, respite care - time out and community support can make a world of difference.
The Westfield Community Program was launched in early 2008 to address these needs in our local communities. Each Westfield Centre across Australia partners with a local disability service provider to help improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and their families.
Westfield Southland encourages you to support its local community partner Bayside Special Developmental School.

Get Inspired
BSDS is a school where teachers, specialists, therapists and parents work together to provide individual education and therapy programs for students with special needs. Our students range in age from 2 years and 8 months through to 18 years of age.
Through the employment of a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning where the dignity of the student is paramount, Bayside Special Developmental School offers a caring and stimulating environment which ensures a sense of achievement and enhanced self-esteem for its students.
Located in Moorabbin, Bayside SDS enjoys easy access to shopping centres, leisure centres, parklands, and beaches for its community referenced learning programs.
