Buses
A major bus interchange is located at Westfield Southland. Routes operating from Southland are as follows:
600/922/923: St Kilda via Cheltenham, Beaumaris and Sandringham.
631: Waverley Gardens via Clayton and Monash University Clayton.
708: Carrum via Mentone, Mordialloc and Patterson Lakes. Buses in the reverse direction operate to Hampton via Highett.
767: Box Hill via Hughesdale, Chadstone and Deakin University.
811/812: Dandenong via Cheltenham, Springvale (811) or Keysborough (812). Buses in the reverse direction operate to Brighton via Moorabbin.
821: Clayton via Heatherton.
822: Chadstone via East Boundary Rd and Murrumbeena. Buses in the reverse direction operate to Sandringham via Cheltenham.
823: North Brighton via Moorabbin.
825: Moorabbin via Mentone and Black Rock.
All bus routes operate seven days per week except for 821 and 823 which are Monday to Friday only.

Trains
The Cheltenham train station is a fifteen-minute walk or a short bus ride from Westfield Southland.
If you're travelling form the city, we recommend you catch the Frankston Line from the Flinders St station, and disembark at the Cheltenham Station.
If you're travelling from Frankston, catch the Frankston Line and disembark at Cheltenham Station. Bus routes 600/922/923, 811/812, 822 and 827/828 provide a frequent combined service between Cheltenham Station and Westfield Southland.
