Local Community

Caring for a child can be tough and very challenging. While every child is a joy to their parents, families of children with a disability find simple everyday living more difficult. Financial assistance, respite care - time out and community support can make a world of difference.

The Westfield Community Program was launched in early 2008 to address these needs in our local communities. Each Westfield Centre across Australia partners with a local disability service provider to help improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and their families.

Westfield Hornsby is currently updating information on how you can help in your local community. Please visit this page again soon to get inspired and take action.

Northcott Disability Services

Get Inspired

Northcott Disability Services is one of the state's leading service providers for people with a broad range of disabilities, supporting 10,000 people with disabilities, their families and carers across NSW and the ACT for over 80 years.

A broad range of programs are provided, from support through the initial diagnosis period and early intervention, through to early childhood development and assisting adults gain employment and independent living skills.

For people with disabilities, the support and services Northcott provides can often mean the difference between a life of isolation and segregation and a life of greater self-reliance and confidence. Support and services are not only directly provided to our clients, but their carers, siblings and the entire family.

Take Action

Volunteer:
Whether you are spending the day on a project at one of our respite houses or working for a few hours at a fundraising event, the time you donate is very much appreciated. For more information please contact the Volunteer Coordinator on (02) 9890 0100, email volunteering@northcott.com.au or visit the Northcott website.

Donate:
As an independent not-for-profit organisation that receives some Government funding, Northcott relies on the generosity of individuals, organisations and community groups to continue to provide services to people with disabilities, particularly in programs where non-government or limited support is available. Join our regular giving plan as a ‘barrier breaker' or donate today, call 1800 818 286 or visit the Northcott website to donate.
