This year the T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant will be undergoing a relocation within the centre. Moving from its current location of 15 years, doors will close on 30 January, and reopen by September 2012 in its new residence in the Entertainment and Leisure Precinct on Level One.
All staff currently employed at the Westfield Doncaster restaurant will retain 100% job security, with redeployment to other restaurants, and hired for the opening period of a new restaurant in Victoria in 2012.
Part of the relocation project will be a total décor update for this store, bringing the famous brand styling of memorabilia placed on walls from the current 40’s/50’s era pieces to the new international standard 80’s/90’s era pieces. For guests fond of the current memorabilia the restaurant will conduct an in store auction event, with proceeds going to The Cancer Council. Guests are encouraged to register their interest at the restaurant to be notified about further details closer to the event. Information about this will also be made available on the website www.tgifridays.com.au, and via social media www.facebook.com/TGIFridaysAustralia and www.twitter.com/TGIFridaysAust
Other Victorian T.G.I. Friday's restaurants in Melbourne located at the Jam Factory, Forest Hill Chase, Epping and Southland will continue to trade as normal, with guests loyal to the restaurant encouraged to visit another of the Victorian restaurants during the relocation.
