Sunday Sale For Telethon - Thank You for Your Support
We would like to say a BIG thank you to all our customers who helped Westfield Carousel raise $5,898.60 for Telethon on Sunday 12 June 2011!
All three WA centres - Carousel, Innaloo and Whitford City were open on the Sunday to support Telethon. Many fundraising activities were available on the day including a Cuddly Animal Farm, Donut Decorating Workshop thanks to Dreamy Donuts, Tarot Card reading, West Coast Eagles Silent Auction and a special appearance from Fat Cat!
Give Ability Day
Westfield Carousel, Innaloo and Whitford City also hosted our first inaugural Give Ability Day on Saturday 21 May to raise money for our charity partner Telethon. Shoppers, retailers and centre staff had the opportunity to dig deep and donate what they could at all three WA Westfield centres to raise money to support children and their families in the local area. 100% of all money raised was donated to Telethon.
Over the Sunday Sale event and Give Ability Day, together all three WA Westfield centres have raised over $24,000! Thank you and congratulations to our customers, retailers and volunteers for your help and support!

Since its inception in 1968, Telethon has raised over $94 million and provided much needed financial assistance to a significant number of charitable organisations, children's hospitals and research/medical facilities in Western Australia. The Telethon team vigorously fundraises across twelve months a year with a varied and exciting schedule of projects supported by commercial partnerships. The Telethon Weekend event has grown to become the most significant television charity appeal in Australia; in fact, it is regarded as the most successful fundraising event per capita, in the world. In 2009 the Telethon Weekend raised $6,374,775 which was distributed to over 20 beneficiaries, including the Asthma Foundation of WA, Carers WA, Cystic Fibrosis Western Australia, Make-A-Wish Australia, Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, Save the Children, plus many more
