Thank you to everyone for getting behind the inaugural Give Ability Day on Saturday 21 May at all Westfield shopping centres across Australia. Westfield staff volunteers worked alongside volunteers from the local charity partner to raise more than $137,000 across Australia, with 100% of all donations going to support children with disabilities and their families in our community!
Our Westfield Community Program has been providing support for children with disabilities and their families since February 2008 by providing funds for therapy equipment, respite, early intervention and education programs. Every Westfield centre across Australia has a close partnership with a local children’s disability service provider in their community, giving people the opportunity to make a difference to the families in their local areas. With one in 14 Australian children* living with a disability, Westfield is committed to further developing our Community Program to drive greater financial and resource support to children with disabilities and their families.
Thank you for making a donation, no matter how big or small. Your generous support will help give the ability for kids to take part in fun activities, for respite care so parents and carers can take a break too, or for new programs and facilities to be set up and implemented in your local community and around Australia.
Give Ability helps to facilitate people supporting people in the community.
