Melbourne has long been hailed the fashion capital of Australia and every year the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival brings the Australian fashion industry to the southern city of style with an array of vibrant events to celebrate the Australian fashion industry.

The 15th anniversary year of LMFF was certainly no exception, featuring runway parades of an international calibre and proudly showcasing the latest autumn-winter collections from our leading designers.

A bevy of awe-inspiring talent at this year's shows included Alex perry, Arthur Galan, Sass & Bide, Farage, Camilla & Marc, Collette Dinnigan, Dion Lee, Romance Was Born, Yeojin Bae, Lisa Ho, Willow, Toni Maticevski, Scanlan & Theodore, Kate Sylvester, Karen Walker and many more.

How did LMFF begin?

Established in 1996 as a not-for-profit organisation, The Melbourne Fashion Festival Ltd began to promote the Australian fashion industry and position Melbourne as an international hub of design and creative excellence, while driving retail sales. Ever since, LMFF has become a staple and favourite Melbourne event. LMFF is widely regarded as Australia's premium stage for consumer fashion while also offering a diverse range of events that embrace the fashion industry, the surrounding cultures of the creative arts and commercial enterprises all under the one fashion-fabulous umbrella.

In 2010, the Festival attracted over 420,000 attendees, more than 300 designers and fashion brands and played host to personalities and industry leaders from around the world.

Westfield Doncaster is proud to be a major sponsor of LMFF 2011.
