The combination of ingredients in Milbemax for Dogs treats and controls roundworm (Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina), whipworm (Trichuris vulpis), hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum, A. brazilense) and tapeworm (Echinococcus granulosus, Taenia pisiformis and Dipylidium caninum) infection in dogs and puppies. If given as a regular monthly treatment, Milbemax also prevents heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) infection.
Warnings, Side Effects and Drug Interactions: Dogs should be tested and be free from both adult heartworm and microfilariae before starting on preventative treatment with Milbemax.
This product may be used in puppies from 2 weeks of age.
Dosage and Administration: For control of gastrointestinal worms, Milbemax should be given to puppies at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age, then every three months throughout adulthood, or or as otherwise directed by a veterinarian.. Lactating females should be treated at the same time as their puppies. For heartworm prevention, dose every month, preferably on the same date.
Product contains: MILBEMYCIN OXIME & PRAZIQUANTEL.
